The Kathy Ohly Memorial Scholarship
Fund
The Kathy Ohly Memorial Scholarship was
established in 1994 in memory of Kathy Ohly. Kathy graduated
from the University of North Dakota Family Nurse Practitioner-Physician
Assistant Program in 1976.
She was active in the NDAPA as President
from 1982-1984, Public Education Committee Chair 1987-1991,
and Bylaws Committee Chair 1985-1987. Kathy also was active
at the National level serving as one of the North Dakota
representatives to the AAPA House of Delegates during
many national conventions.
Kathy organized an Orthopedic Surgical
Team to go to Brazil to provide care for Brazilian children
suffering from various orthopedic conditions. She received
the 1987 AAPA Humanitarian Award for her efforts.
Kathy served as an inspiration and role
model to the Physician Assistant Profession. She passed
away August 15, 1993 after a long battle with breast cancer.
The NDAPA awards scholarships annually
to North Dakota individuals attending an accredited physician
assistant program.

this worthwhile fund. Anyone wishing to donate to the
